What Book This Is?

I was reading a book this morning on the way to work that a good friend of mine had given me called “Writing Down the Bones.” It’s a very useful guide designed to help writers extract their most creative abilities. Along the way, a black child of about eight years old sat next to me. I didn’t really notice him very much until I had finished the chapter, laid the closed book on my thigh and put my glasses back in my bag. He noticed the book and picked it up. He asked me, “What book this is?”
